When using this kind of flange, the material of the pipe joint must be consistent with that of the pipe, but the material of the flange may not be consistent with that of the pipe.This kind of flange is more expensive than the flat welding flange with the same pipe diameter and pressure temperature grade because it is used together with the flanging joint. For particularly expensive pipes, it can sometimes achieve economic goals because flanges with different materials and cheap materials can be used. Its internal pressure bearing performance is the same as that of flat welding flange, but worse than that of butt welding flange. Its fatigue life is only 10% of that of butt welding flange, and it cannot be used under alternating stress.
